Modes[]
There are currently 3 modes to choose from, CO-OP Hunting, PVP Arena and Custom (Private PVP).
CO-OP Hunting (Outdated and too lazy to fix)
In CO-OP mode, you gain experience from hunting animals with other players as your allies. You can fight stronger and bigger animals together! There are seven maps that you can choose from: Green Hills, Dark Forest, Wild Tundra, Legend Mountains, Mammoth Creek, Tropical Forest, And Fugaku Slopes in order. As you level up, you unlock the maps. In each map, there are different animals to hunt, as they represent different natural environments. In CO-OP the game separated into sections to keep it fair for players.
PVP Arena[]
PVP mode is played into 2 teams that consists of 4 players each. You can hunt animals just like in the hunting mode, but beware - the players on the opposite team are your enemies too! Like CO-OP hunting, PVP has five maps that can be unlocked while leveling up, but the maps cannot be chosen to enter. It will send you to a random map to fight with the other team and you have to be five levels higher than the level of that map that you originally unlocked. You can have the option to switch teams, if the other team are less players than yours, but you must be in your teams den to be able to this. In PVP the game is split into sections to keep it fair for low, middle, high players.
Custom PVP[]
(Yep)
World Map[]
Controls[]
The joystick at the bottom left of the screen is used to move your wolf the handle around in the direction you want your wolf to move. On computer, you can use a,w,s, and d or arrow keys.
The panel in the bottom right corner is your basic attack and skills. The big button is the standard attack, and the four smaller ones are your special skills. You can have basic, auras, specials and totem otherwise known as trap button. The totem button will appear left to the” Special” skill type.
The buttons in the middle are, from left to right: chat keyboard, attributes (It also counts as your attribute upgrade button), skills, scoreboard, den teleport.
The den teleport has a loading time, and if you move, or get hurt by an animal or wolf, it gets interrupted. This is a nice way to simply howl without teleporting, to celebrate a kill for example.
Scoreboard[]
The scoreboard shows the current players on the map and how well they're doing. The player that has hunted or killed the most, is marked as the Alpha of the pack. The Alpha has the ability to open a portal in a desired spot, in which the other wolves can teleport to by using the button above the attack panel. To open the portal as an Alpha, use the howling button which appears as a howling wolf above your attack buttons. Be sure to not move or touch any other button until the portal has loaded completely, as that will interrupt it.
Leveling Up[]
As you play, you will gain experience points, coins and gems, in addition to scoreboard points and kills.
Experience points are what makes you level up, and this happen automatically. Your level, level progress and XP can be seen in the upper left corner of the screen, along with your ID number. Here you will also see your wolf’s name and team color while playing.
Your coins (a round icon with a paw print) and gems (pink diamond) are in the upper right corner, along with a (+) that allows you to buy more with either gems or points. The coins are used to upgrade your attributes. The gems are used to unlock and upgrade skills, as well as buy Premium.
Premium (Outdated)[]
Premium can be bought by gems. You can either buy 5 days for 500 gems or 30 days for 1500 gems (potentially saving 1500 gems). While in premium you get:
- +50% XP
- +50% coins
- Premium Wolf Skin (The Great Wolf)
- Extra Quest Slot
- 100% attribute boost when obtaining a Mega Reward
This allows you to level up faster, to become stronger faster, and looking rad while doing so.
General tips and tricks for players, including new players.[]
1. The first skill that you should focus on in order to improve all other skills is Damage Boost, which belongs to the Aura category. When attacking, use it before all other skills.
2. I suggest not upgrading the "Speed Boost".
3. The cost of upgrading skills is high, and gems, which are the most valuable currency, are difficult to obtain. Therefore, I wouldn't spend gems on 14-day Premium, which costs 500 gems! Instead, I recommend using gems to upgrade skills.
4. To save time, it's best to skip quests that don't reward you with gems upon completion.
5. If you have a friend on your in-game friend list who has a lower level and is online, you can join their game. This may allow you to defeat champions and receive the same number of gems with less effort. However, I'm not completely sure about this strategy. I learned about it from a video by the author Bloody Hacker (it is in the beginning of the video), which I will link here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wXKjy3cyyhI
6. The Double Claw skill, which is the first skill in the Basic skill tree, is a useful skill to have since it has a short cooldown.
7. If a player who is not an Alpha in the server announces in the chat that they have found a champion animal nearby, you can add them to your friend list to see their location on the map. The player's icon will be different from other icons, making it easy to find them and the champion.
8. In my opinion, it's more convenient and quicker to walk to your desired destination with the full map open on your screen. To access a larger map, simply tap on the small map in the top right corner, and it will resize. Although you won't be able to see your surroundings, using the big map for orientation is easier for me than using the small map or the surroundings.
9. If you're building a PVP x COOP build, then it's better to upgrade the following skills: Fiery Ring, Damage Boost, PCJ, and Poison Trap. If your focus is purely PVP (with low HP under 6M), I recommend using Double Claw, Damage Boost, and Electroshock. For a pure COOP build (with decent HP), upgrade Fire Wall, Damage Boost, Fiery Ring, and Poison Trap.
10. If you want to compare skills, I recommend watching this video by the author Bloody Hacker: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T0kbAMRhGzg
11. The best combination of skills for COOP mode is as follows: 1) Damage Boost, 2) Firewall (or Freezing Wall), 3) Fiery Ring, and 4) Poison Trap (OR Electric Trap, but I’m not sure regarding Electric Trap).
12. An orange icon on the map indicates a quest animal.
13. For more helpful tips on COOP mode, I suggest watching the video by Bloody Hacker: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wXKjy3cyyhI
14. A tip for saving time and taking a break from the game: if you only need to kill champions or big animals, you can be on the server, standing in one place (taking a break from the phone, going AFK but leaving the sound on) and waiting to hear the call of the Alpha. It's possible that the Alpha has found a champion and is summoning other wolves to kill it so return to the game and join him when you hear his call.
15. In order to receive more gems for a champion, try not to die when attacking a champion and for your safety try to attack a champion from behind. Try to deliver the final (the last) blow to a champion when it is almost dead by using a “trap” skill from Totems category. Reference: video by Dr. Fierybringer : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lAtBKhu8gIk
16. I've observed the following tactic: one player runs in circles around a large, slow animal to distract it (the distracted animal runs after him) while other players attack it from behind.
17. Hunt in one area until you spot a champion in it. For instance, you can hunt in that area for approximately 15 minutes.
18. How to find a champion that someone is attacking? Well, if a player dies from the champion’s attack, it will be displayed in the chat. View the chat in order to know this when this happens. When this happens, quickly view the map to see the icon of a dying player disappearing and a new icon of a player appearing. The champion is where the icon disappeared. You can also ask and know whether a champion is in the south/north etc. from the chat.
19. There are 4 events in the game: Christmas, New Year, Easter and Halloween that give certain perks. Also starting from 15 January there is Birthday event that lasts for few days. It gives increase in drop rate of orbs on map Green Hills and champion spawn rate on map Green Hills.
20. Green arrow next to the level of an animal in the Hunting Event indicates that you are able to increase your score for this animal.
21. How to quickly complete the weekly quests like “Kill x animals level 33+”? Choose the first map “Green Hills” for this because it contains many high-level animals.
22. How to quicker complete the quest “Place the Alpha portal x times”: find the empty PvP room in any region where you can be the alpha, launch a portal, then quit the room and rejoin the same room. Then you will be able to launch a new portal instantly, without waiting a cooldown.
